A Step-by-Step Guide to Monetizing Your Audience
Unlock the Fastest Path to Growing Your Personal Brand with This Proven System for Scaling Revenue and Influence.
Humans have a knack for overcomplicating things.
Maybe it’s to feel accomplished, or maybe it’s just habit. But after 14+ years as a founder, I’ve learned one hard truth: we’re often our own biggest bottlenecks.
Albert Einstein said it best: “Genius is making complex ideas simple, not making simple ideas complex.”
Yet, I constantly hear from founders who want to make an extra $15k or $20k a month—but their plans are so convoluted, it’ll take them forever to get there.
Here’s the reality: monetizing your audience isn’t some secret reserved for “the elite.” It boils down to two simple things:
Having an audience
Having something to sell them
That’s it. Keep it simple, and success will follow.
In today’s newsletter, I’m sharing my system for monetizing your brand.
Let me be upfront: while the process is simple, it still demands hard work. But here’s the good news—depending on where you are in your journey, you might already have untapped potential that can be unlocked almost instantly.
No matter where you stand, I’m confident that applying this system will deliver a massive boost to your revenue in as little as 90 days.
Let’s dive in!
#1 - Build Your Audience
One of the biggest mistakes founders make is using the "spray and pray" approach to audience building. Not only does this rarely work, but it often attracts the wrong people—leaving you with numbers that don’t translate into sales.
The goal isn’t just to grow your following—it’s to attract qualified people who can benefit from what you offer and are ready to buy. Here’s the formula:
Who Can You Help? + Who Cares? + Who Can Buy? = Ideal Audience Member
Who Can You Help?
You can’t serve everyone. Start by identifying who genuinely benefits from your product or service. Narrow your focus to those who need what you offer.Who Cares?
Your audience should already be passionate about what you do—you shouldn’t have to convince them. Passionate followers generate hype, drive organic growth, and help build virality over time.Who Can Buy?
It’s not enough for followers to care—they also need the ability to purchase. A million followers mean nothing if they can’t afford what you’re selling.
Dialing in on these three elements ensures you’re building an audience that’s engaged, excited, and ready to invest in your product or service.

Execute Your Content Creation System
Now that you’ve identified your ideal audience, it’s time to attract them—and the most powerful tool for that is content.
Why content? Two reasons:
It’s a magnet. Like attracts like. By creating content tailored to your ideal customer, you naturally draw in people who resonate with your message.
It’s a 24/7 salesperson. Once posted, your content works around the clock—engaging, educating, and even getting shared to reach new audiences.
While being omnipresent online is the long-term goal, don’t spread yourself too thin at the start. Focus on crushing it on two platforms first. Develop a strategy and stick to it.
To simplify your approach, pick four core content categories that align with your brand and make them the pillars of your messaging. For example, here are mine for House of Founders:

Start small, stay consistent, and let your content work its magic!
Building an Audience Takes Work—But It’s Worth It
Consistency is the secret ingredient. The steps I’m sharing are the same ones I used to grow my audience to over 850k in just a year. They work, but only if you’re willing to show up every day.
Part 2 - Crafting Your Offer
Here’s a little-known truth: you can start monetizing your audience much earlier than you think.
Why? Because depending on your price point, you might only need a handful of buyers to hit your initial goals. For example:
A high-ticket product requires just a few sales to make a big impact.
A low-ticket product that solves a clear problem can sell even to those who don’t know you well yet.
And here’s the kicker: selling early can actually fuel your growth by getting people talking about you and your product.
#2 - Creating Your Offer
The perfect offer sits at the intersection of what you’re great at and what your audience deeply desires or needs. Ask yourself:
What are their biggest goals or aspirations?
Which of these align with your passions and expertise (your Ikigai)?
If you’ve been consistently posting content, chances are you already have a goldmine of insights about what resonates with your audience. Use this treasure trove to create an offer that hits home and solves their problems.
Let’s dive into the numbers and refine your offer!
Structuring Your Offer
Your first offer should align with your experience and skills—it’s the fastest way to create something valuable and sellable.
When I started building my personal brand, I offered consulting. Why? I had built three multi-million-dollar businesses, including one with an 8-figure exit. Packaging my expertise into consulting services was straightforward because people wanted access to my insights.
But not every offer needs to be high-ticket. Many founders launch with offers priced between $27-$150. These are low-risk for buyers, easy to overdeliver on, and can generate buzz—just like Hormozi’s viral $0.99 book.
Ultimately, you’ll want a suite of offers for different budgets. But for quick wins, aim for offers around $2k. Here’s why:
Let’s say you’re active on two platforms and follow my strategies for growing your audience. After 2–4 weeks of consistent posting, you’ll likely gain 100+ followers per week. Over 13 weeks (3 months), that’s 900–1,300 new followers.
Now, here’s what it takes to hit $20k in revenue:
4 sales @ $5k
6 sales @ $3.5k
10 sales @ $2k
15 sales @ $1.34k
20 sales @ $1k
Even with a $1k offer, you only need to convert 1.8% of your new audience!
If you lack experience for consulting or coaching, package your expertise into services instead. For example, if you’re a copywriter, bundle deliverables like emails or LinkedIn posts into a high-ticket $2k offer.
Iterate & Scale
Here’s where it gets exciting: after your first quarter of building an audience and selling your offer, you’ll have valuable feedback on what works and what doesn’t. Use that insight to refine your strategy and double your revenue in half the time.
Here’s how:
Exponential Growth: Your audience will grow faster as you fine-tune content that resonates with your ideal customer.
Higher Prices: As testimonials roll in and results speak for themselves, you can confidently increase your prices—doubling or tripling them.
Recurring Revenue: Funnel clients into membership-style offers for predictable monthly income.
New Income Streams: Identify common challenges from client conversations and create courses or workshops to address them.
By starting with one offer and iterating based on feedback, you’ll quickly build multiple revenue streams while scaling to a larger, more engaged audience!
There you have it—my system for monetizing your personal brand.
